The Beach

Every one of our apartments is only minutes away from Melbourne's favorite playground, Port Phillip Bay, with its safe beaches, swimming, fishing, diving, power boating, yachting, water skiing and beach, foreshore and cliff-top picnicking, barbecuing, rambling, bike riding and old fashioned sitting around, doing nothing, just relaxing.

The Mordialloc Yacht Club is to the south at the mouth of Mordialloc Creek, which also offers boat ramps and hire boats. Parkdale Yacht Club is on the Parkdale beach, the Beaumaris Yacht Club is just north up Beach Road, the Black Rock Yacht Club and boat ramps are a little further north again and then you go on to the Sandringham Yacht Club and the Royal Brighton Yacht Club. More Bay swimming, diving, fishing, boating and yachting are located at beach-side centers dotted along the Mornington Peninsula to the south.

Ocean surfing, swimming, diving and fishing are available on the “back beaches” along the Mornington Peninsula's southern coast.

There is a Life Saving Club at every suburban and surf beach where members learn rescue and lifesaving skills and act as volunteer lifeguards. The clubs often have a rich social life.
